Meet Jason Knight

Rhode Island Lawyer With 17 Years of Experience

Jason Knight practices criminal law exclusively in Rhode Island and Massachusetts in both the state and federal courts. He’s been an attorney since 2005 and in private practice since 2010. His work has been highlighted in the Boston Globe and Providence Journal. An outstanding criminal trial attorney, Jason employees a combination of courtroom tested trial skills, superior legal knowledge, and real world common sense to achieve great results for his clients.

Jason only practices criminal law. He has handled every kind of case from simple domestic assaults to drug cases and violent felonies including murder and sexual assault. Jason also has extensive experience with DUI and breathalyzer refusal cases. Jason also has extensive experience with cases involving technology such as cell phones and crimes involving the internet.

Jason received his undergrad education at Emerson College and later earned his law degree from Suffolk Law in 2005. From 2006 to 2010 he was a state prosecutor for the State of Rhode Island in the Attorney General’s office. During that time, Jason prosecuted every kind of case including DUI cases and hundreds of breathalyzer refusal cases. He also instructed police officers in the detection and investigation of DUI cases and was the point person in the office for issues involving sex offender registration.

Jason is a veteran. He served for eight years on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear propulsion operator. Jason also currently serves as an elected member of the Rhode Island House of Representatives. In that role, Jason serves on the Judiciary committee and helps form criminal justice policy for the state of Rhode Island.
